Christopher Singer specialises in international arbitration and sports arbitration.

A British-German dual national, Christopher Singer acts as counsel and tribunal secretary and has experience in arbitrations administered under the ICC, LCIA, SCAI and UNCITRAL Rules. Before joining ABR Avocats, he managed and supervised over 200 international arbitrations as Legal Counsel to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, relating to a wide range of contractual, governance, disciplinary and football transfer disputes, often involving Swiss law.

Prior to that, he worked as an academic assistant to the chair of public international law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, researching and teaching in the fields of public and international law, including international investment law, as well as EU law.

He served as a law clerk at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg (civil court and prosecution service); he also worked as a legal trainee in Clifford Chance´s dispute resolution teams in Frankfurt and New York and at the ICC Court of International Arbitration in Paris.

Christopher Singer regularly speaks on sports arbitration and was, for instance, called before a legislative expert commission of the German parliament (Bundestag). He is also a certified mediator for commercial affairs (MUCDR).

Beyond the law, he worked for more than ten years as an international reporter for OTR Global, a US investment research firm, reporting to institutional investors on a broad range of European industries.
